Dale Cassidy is a self taught landscape oil painter. Growing up in Piha, she spent most of her childhood drawing people from her community and painting the rural farmland surrounding her home. She spent many years as a young adult living, travelling and painting in Europe, focusing on light and movement of the European landscape. Since then, she spent several years living between Sydney and Piha painting the spectacular and contradictory coasts of the two areas.

Presently living in her home town of Piha, Dale is enjoying focusing on capturing through the use of thick bold and vigorous use of paint, the raw and dramatic West Coast of Piha and Karekare. The constant changes of weather, light and mood are a continuous inspiration for her work.
