Ian Lambert is an established wood craftsman best known for his elegant bowls expressed in clear, refined forms which give no hint of the effort that goes into their creation.

 

He says that anything that looks simple is almost certainly difficult to make and this is doubled by his use in recent years of laminated woods. Applying the same materials and design philosophy has resulted in furniture, boxes and set of drawers which are very different and very appealing.

 

His repositories for small treasures are especially intriguing and unusual and reach deep into the collector within us.
