Jill has been painting for 20 years after studying at Elam School of Fine Arts.
Jill has always been motivated with the unique character of the West Coast with its rugged bluffs, blackish bush and white light. Since 1997, she has won many awards and exhibited widely throughout NZ.
Her paintings concentrate on mainly West Auckland beaches where the Perrott family spends a lot of their leisure time staying at their Piha bach. Many would call Jill an unorthodox painter, in that she uses spray cans, oil sticks and resins. Jill loves experimenting with textures and resins in her work and as a result, her canvases have an interesting mix of surfaces
