Monique is an independent award-winning artist specialising in New Zealand art. Her works include mainly large acrylic, watercolour and oil paintings, mixed media, and prints influenced by the NZ coast, bush and birds. Most of her works have an element of peace and realism but some are quite surreal.

 

One of her strongest inspirations is the changing light, mood and the wildness of the West Coast.

 

Monique completed a Diploma of Art at Whitecliffe Art School and for years was a graphic designer.

 

Painting is now her full time occupation and she offers acrylic and oil painting classes at her studio in Oratia, Waitakere.
