PAMELA BYLES

I live in  the foothills of Waitakere and have a small studio in my home. We are surrounded by native bush and wild birds and this gives me the ideas towards a new painting. I started my painting in water colour and I have never felt that I want to move on to oils, and acrylics, I'm happy where I am at.

I have been painting water colours now for about 9 years. The colours of the natural bush inspire me to want to put them down on paper, to capture just that minute in time as I take the original photo in the bush on my walks. I then draw up my pictures from the photograph ready for painting. I do from time to time also paint from pictures friends have either taken or kindly given me.
