Rowena has been living on the West Coast for over 30 years. Most of this time, she has been working with ceramics and getting inspiration from this beautiful corner of the world & her interactions with the people and animals in her life. Rowena gets endless pleasure from playing with colour and pattern, creating something beautiful and loves the magic that occurs when heat is applied to her creations. Most of her patterns are painted onto greenware; items are then bisque fired, then glazed and re-fired. Sometime she adds a mother of pearl or metallic lustre. She’s never happier than when someone says the bought item is their favourite cup.
