SOFIA ATHINEOU

 

Sofia is a mixed media Greek artist who loves working with glass, its many sensual and optical qualities and the way it reflects and distorts light. She captures passion and emotion by refracting the vibrant colours of glass through the forms she creates.

 

Natural organic forms and patterns interest her infinitely. She is particularly interested in trying to capture the elemental forces such as wind, fire and water in her sculptures.

 

Sofia is a strong humanitarian who believes in helping others for a better hopeful future of peace, love and health
