Catherine Wells
Jeweller
As a graphic designer for many years, jewellery making became a hobby to escape from my computer. I’ve been crafting pieces for family, friends and now the wider community including the West Coast Gallery. Commissions have encompassed diverse jewellery designs.
My work is mostly in sterling silver, using traditional silversmithing techniques and the lost-wax casting process of fabricating, moulding, creating waxes, then casting with molten metal. Other mediums I work with include fine silver, precious metal clay and hand painted and dyed aluminium with each piece being completely unique. Some pieces are include with coloured stones to create an individual look that can be worn at any time of the day or night.
