Pamela has been painting water colours for over 14 years and lives in the Waitakere's in Auckland.

Most of her inspiration for painting comes from the natural bush in the ranges, where she goes to take her own photographs and then sketches them out on to top quality paper and paints them. She started out just painting flowers but gradually built up her paintings to detailed bush scenes, capturing small glimpses into the native trees and ferns that make NZ bush so pretty and unique.  

A lot of time is spent on very detailed work so that when a painting is completed it is hardly distinguishable from the actual scene.
